4 CP rail cars off tracks in yard in southern Alberta; no leaks, no safety issues

COALHURST, Alta. – Four rail cars went off the tracks in southern Alberta.

Canadian Pacific Railway (TSX:CP) said the cars derailed in a “yard incident” in Coalhurst at about 11 p.m. Tuesday.

Spokesperson Salem Woodrow said none of the cars contained dangerous goods, no product leaked and there were no public safety issues.

Woodrow said CP was in the process of putting the cars back on the tracks.

Coalhurst is about 15 kilometres northwest of Lethbridge.
