KAMLOOPS — A 29-year-old Ashcroft man arrested yesterday  attempted murder with a firearm is no stranger to police or courts.

Jarrel Isiah Dick, born in 1985, has several convictions for theft, firearms and other offences.

Spokesperson Cpl. Cheryl Bush says the incident happened April 7, 2014 when police were called to the 1900 block of Tranquille Road around 3 a.m. after shots were fired. Investigators said one man was taken to hospital with a single gunshot wound after an altercation between two men familiar with each other.
