Missing Kelowna man last seen three weeks ago

A 29-year-old man was last heard from in Kelowna three weeks ago and police are now looking to the public for help.

Daniel Ross Ferren last spoke to family on July 10 and he was reported missing to Kelowna RCMP eight days later, according to a news release.

"Police and family are concerned for Daniel’s health and well-being as it is out of character for him to be out of contact for this long. If you see Daniel, keep him in sight and call police," the Kelowna RCMP news release reads.

Kelowna RCMP spokesperson Const. Mike Della-Paolera said Ferren is currently homeless. He said police took on "other avenues of investigation" before issuing the news release, when asked why the public was only notified two weeks after the initial report.

Della-Paolera added that it's not unusual for people to be out of contact for a few days when a family member is homeless.

Ferren is described as Caucasian, with short, dirty blonde hair. He's 5'8" and 140 lbs with a slim build. Police said he has a Red Dragon Apparel logo tattooed to his left wrist.

Police say he was last seen wearing a red baseball cap and red pants.
