Pancake breakfast and giveaways to celebrate Aberdeen Mall’s 35th birthday

KAMLOOPS – Aberdeen Mall celebrates 35 years in the community on Friday, Aug. 5, 2016 as Kamloops’ favourite shopping mall.

Beginning at 9 a.m. on Aug. 5 in the lower level parking lot, Aberdeen Mall will be hosting a free pancake breakfast to shoppers while supplies last or until 11 a.m. 

The Valleyview Overlanders Club along with Blenz Coffee will be on site to assist with the breakfast.

“We are asking those who are attend to bring either a non-perishable food bank donation or gently used clothing in exchange for breakfast” said Brynn Gise, Aberdeen Mall’s Marketing and Specialty Leasing Director. “Items collected will be benefiting the Kamloops Food Bank and Big Brothers Big Sisters, two groups we are proud to support and work with.”

The celebration will peak on Friday, Aug. 5, where the first 100 shoppers of the Mall will receive a special SWAG bag filled with gifts and special offers from mall retailers. In the afternoon, festivities continue with cupcakes at Centre Court and the opportunity to win prizes from retailers. Participating stores will be open at 9 a.m.

“We want shoppers to embrace the fun and allow us to give back to the community with a breakfast and prize giveaways,” said Brynn. “We appreciate their business and support and we’re proud to give back to the community.”

Aberdeen Mall supports community groups annually through donations, sponsorship and complimentary space for fundraising and awareness.
