Smoky and cooler week ahead in Kamloops and the Okanagan
Wildfire smoke is expected throughout the Southern Interior for the next day or two, according to an Environment Canada Smoky Skies Bulletin issued at 10:30 p.m. yesterday, Aug. 7.
There are no Air Quality Health Index readings available anywhere in BC this morning.
All that website shows is a level 5 out of 10 ranking for Kamloops tomorrow, which is moderate. The Okanagan shows level 4, also moderate.

The Environment Canada online forecast shows a mix of sun and cloud throughout the region today through Thursday with a 40% chance of showers tonight and tomorrow in Kamloops, 30% in the Okanagan tomorrow.
Kamloops and most of the Okanagan are expected to have highs of 27 Celsius today and 26-27 tomorrow, dropping to 24-25 C on Thursday before climbing back above 30 C on the weekend.
So far this month, only one day in the region had a high temperature of less than 30 C. That was Penticton which reached 28.8 C yesterday. Average high temperatures ranged from 32.5 C in Penticton and Vernon up to 33.1 C in Kamloops.
