Police charge Winnipeg mother in abduction of son

WINNIPEG – A Winnipeg woman who was the subject of a Canada-wide warrant for the alleged abduction of her 12-year-old son has been charged.

Police say Charlotte McMahon faces one count of abduction where no custody order.

Police had asked for the public’s help in locating McMahon, who is 35, and her 12-year-old son, Tristan, who had last been seen on Saturday morning in Winnipeg.

They were located on Sunday in Manigotagan, Man.

McMahon has been remanded in custody.

Police did not issue an Amber Alert in the case.
