UPDATE: Smithers teen found after getting dropped off in Kamloops and reported missing

An 18-year-old Smithers man, who was reported missing and thought to possibly be in Kamloops, has been found. 

The Kamloops RCMP reported the man missing earlier today, Aug. 10, and confirmed this afternoon that he is "safe and sound" in a media release.

Investigators learned he was "dropped off" in Kamloops on Aug. 3.

All personal information about the man was removed from the article after police located him.
