Oliver emergency room closed tonight: Interior Health
The hospital in Oliver will be closing its emergency department overnight.
The South Okanagan General Hospital will have no emergency services available from 6 p.m. today, Aug. 14, until 8 a.m. tomorrow, according to a release from Interior Health.
The health authority blames the service interruption of limited physician availability. The department is normally open 24/7.
During the closure, the nearest emergency services for patients in the South Okanagan will be available at the Penticton Regional Hospital.
