Someone in BC has a lottery ticket worth $2.5M

A lottery ticket purchased in BC for last night’s, Aug. 16, Lotto 6/49 draw matched all six winning numbers and is worth $2.5 million.

The BC ticket, along with one bought in Ontario, will split the $5-million Classic Jackpot for $2.5 million each.

The winning BC ticket was purchased at PlayNow.com, according to a BC Lottery Corporation media release.

The winning jackpot numbers were: 2, 3, 6, 7, 17 and 27.

The person with the winning ticket as 52 weeks from the draw date to claim their money.

The odds of winning the Classic Jackpot are one in 13,983,816.
