Kelowna man charged with manslaughter in domestic dispute case

A Kelowna man is facing a charge of manslaughter in connection to a homicide in the city’s Rutland neighbourhood on Monday.

RCMP were called to a home on Hardie Road late in the evening on Monday, Aug. 21, to a report of a person with life-threatening injuries who later died.

Brandon Davina, born 1985, was arrested that night and has now been charged with manslaughter.

The case is one of intimate partner violence, according to court documents.

Davina is also facing charges of assault with a weapon and mischief from a separate incident in February, 2022.

He’s scheduled to appear in Kelowna court on all three charges, Sept. 7.
