Severe thunderstorm watch for the Thompson-Okanagan

UPDATE: All watches, advisories and weather statements have ended.

THOMPSON-OKANAGAN – A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for the South Thompson, Nicola, Okanagan Valley and Boundary regions. 

The watch was issued today, July 18, because weather conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms, according to Environment Canada.

These storms could be capable of creating strong winds, hail and heavy rainfall.

Environment Canada reminds the public to always seek shelter inside during lightning storms.
