Suspicious debris near Kamloops bridge has police investigating

Kamloops RCMP are releasing few details to the public after suspicious debris was found near one of the city’s bridges.

Officers were called to an area near the 600 block of Lorne Street and the Red Bridge at approximately 1:40 p.m. today, Jan. 23.

A worker cleaning up the area after a fire found what police call suspicious debris.

RCMP say more information will be released to the public when it becomes available.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 and reference file 2024-2290.
