Police find man, woman dead in summer home near Powell River, B.C.

POWELL RIVER, B.C. – Two bodies have been discovered by police at a summer home near Powell River, B.C.

RCMP began a missing persons investigation Tuesday after a concerned family member asked for help locating two of his relatives.

Const. Tim Kenning says the bodies of a man and a woman were found at the family’s home in Bliss Landing on the Sunshine Coast.

He says preliminary evidence suggests there is no threat to public safety and police are not looking for any suspects in the deaths.

The Vancouver Island Major Crime Unit and the BC Coroners Service are both investigating.

The names of the deceased have not been released.
