KAMLOOPS – Cathy McLeod, Member of Parliament for Kamloops – Thompson – Cariboo, today urged her constituents to take part in the federal government’s online climate change consultation.
If residents want to have their say, they can submit comments at this website by Monday, August 1.
Key areas of discussion include:
• How and where to reduce emissions;
• Clean technology, innovation and job creation;
• How to prepare for the impacts of a changing climate;
• Putting a price on carbon.
“As a Conservative, I’m committed to preserving and protecting Canada’s environment for future generations,” MP McLeod said. “At the same time, we will work to keep taxes low for Canadian individuals, families and job-creators, and to sustain economic growth and job creation.”
