Rescuers find missing person on shore of Skaha Lake
PENTICTON – Firefighters from Penticton and Okanagan Falls were called to a search for a missing person on the northwest corner of Skaha Lake yesterday.
Penticton deputy fire chief Dave Spalding says the department responded to the missing person call at around 6:50 p.m., July 28.
The missing person was located approximately one kilometre south of Wrights Beach Camp on the former Kettle Valley Rail bed.
Spalding says the man was asleep on the grass. He was awakened and taken back to the Skaha Lake Marina where police were waiting.
Penticton RCMP were unavailable to comment on the incident.
