NEW YORK – The NHL suspended Dallas Stars forward Cody Eakin four games for charging New York Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist during a game Thursday night.
The incident occurred in the first period of New York’s 2-0 victory. Eakin received a major penalty for charging and game misconduct.
Eakin will forfeit US$85,555.56 in salary as a result of the suspension.
