Yamana Gold Inc. (TSX:YRI). Miner. Up 25 cents, or 11.63 per cent, to $2.40 on 6.6 million shares.
Baytex Energy Corp. (TSX:BTE). Oil and gas. Up 30 cents, or 7.43 per cent, to $4.34 on 5.8 million shares.
B2Gold Corp. (TSX:BTO). Miner. Up 10 cents, or 7.25 per cent, to $1.48 on 5.5 million shares.
First Quantum Minerals Ltd. (TSX:FM). Miner. Up 34 cents, or 6.95 per cent, to $5.23 on 5.3 million shares.
Penn West Petroleum Ltd. (TSX:PWT). Oil and gas. Up 18 cents, or 26.87 per cent, to 85 cents on 5.2 million shares.

National Bank of Canada (TSX:NA). Bank. Down $2.27, or 5.26 per cent, to $40.89 on 4.3 million shares. Canada’s sixth-largest banks says its investment in the European subsidiary of Toronto-based Maple Financial Group, which had a carrying value at the end of August of $165 million, is at risk for big losses because of allegations of tax irregularities between 2006 and 2010 in Germany.
