PENTICTON – Entries have been submitted for the 2nd annual Reel Peach Fest filmmaker contest. Filmmakers sent in their films highlighting the hidden gems of Penticton and Wine Country in one of two categories:

Liquid Libations: any commercial or short film concerning Okanagan wine, craft beer, distillery, cidery, or juice/soda.

Okanagan Experience: any commercial or short film showcasing an Okanagan experience (Arts, Culture, or Tourism)

All films will be screened on the Peach Festival main stage each evening before the main act performs.

By voting for your favourite clip on the Reel Peachfest website www.reelpeachfest.com, you will also have the opportunity to enter a draw to win an ultimate Penticton prize package valued at $250.

"Reel Peach Fest is a great initiative for promoting our region and we want to encourage everyone to get involved. By casting a vote and showing support for the the amazing talent that Reel Peach Fest attracts, audience members also have the chance to win a fantastic prize," said Kelly Hopkins, Executive Director of Tourism Penticton.

Voting Opens Wednesday, Aug. 3 and closes at midnight on Aug. 6.

The winner of the Penticton prize package will be announced Monday, Aug. 8.
