
Knife wielding man arrested at Walmart in Penticton
PENTICTON – RCMP responded to calls of a man threatening people with a knife at the Penticton Walmart last week.
Cpl. Don Wrigglesworth says officers were called to the department story at around 9:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 27, about complaints of a shirtless man wielding a knife and a screwdriver.
The man was believed to be high on drugs at the time, Wrigglesworth says.
Police arrested the man without incident. He was held for court on charges of drug possession and possible assault charges.
