Kamloops RCMP looking for suspect after woman spat on

KAMLOOPS – RCMP are looking for a man who spat in a woman's face and tried to punch her in Kamloops last week.

Police say the man was walking his dog, a chocolate labrador, on St. Paul Street sometime on Thursday, July 28 when it pooped on the sidewalk. A woman, who was walking nearby with her daughter, asked him to pick it up. When he refused the two got into a short argument.

Later that day, the woman was approached by the same man in Riverside Park, according to a RCMP release. He spat in her face, tried to hit her and ran away.

RCMP describe the suspect as 5’5” with a thick build, thinning brown hair, brown eyes, a beard and moustache. He was wearing a Celtic green shirt and blue basketball shorts at the time of the assault.
