Car and city bus collide

KAMLOOPS – Failure to yield led to a crash between a city transit bus and a car in Pineview Valley Wednesday morning.

Just after 8 a.m. the bus and Volkswagon Jetta collided at the corner of Hugh Allan Drive and Copperhead Drive. RCMP Const. Jason Epp says the crash happened when the driver of the Jetta failed to yield to the bus while making a left hand turn onto Hugh Allan Drive.

The driver of the car was taken to hospital with what appeared to be minor injuries. No passengers on the bus were injured and charges are not being contemplated at this time.
