Family fun at the fourth annual Overlanders Day summer festival

KAMLOOPS – The North Shore Business Association announced their attractions today for the 4th Annual Overlanders Day summer family festival.

“We’re into our fourth year and are really excited about how this event continues to grow,” NSBIA Executive Director Steven Puhallo said, “Our organizing committee has put together an excellent fun filled day for everyone in Kamloops!”

Overlander Days organizers are planning a number of great attractions for the Aug. 20 event at McDonald Park. “We’re planning to have something for everyone including a Kids’ Zone, Live Stage entertainment, a Seniors’ Area and our Business and Community Expo.” Puhallo said. “We’re building on the great event success and experience people have grown to love about Overlanders Day!”

The popular ‘Tastes of the North Shore’ food fair will be back for visitors to sample different and delicious dishes from North Shore restaurants. “We have a great restaurant culture on the North Shore and this is always a big hit!”

Part of the proceeds from the food fair will go towards Interior Community Services’ Meals on Wheels project. “The North Shore is all about community, always has been, always will be.” Puhallo said.

“It’s a great time to come and celebrate such a vibrant Kamloops community! We have something for everyone!”

Celebrate the Kamloops North Shore at Overlanders Day! This family fun event takes place at McDonald Park from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Check out the great attractions: North Shore Business and Community Expo, Tastes of the North Shore, Live Stage Entertainment, Kids Zone, and a Seniors’ VIP area.
