Police seek tips in alleged Vernon hit and run

VERNON – Police in Vernon are looking for information about an alleged hit and run incident early this morning.

A 26-year-old man claims he was struck by a car around 5:20 a.m., Aug. 12, at the intersection of 43 Street and 25 Avenue, police state in a media release.

The man alleges the car failed to stop at the scene.

“The man was transported to hospital with serious but non life-threatening injuries,” Cpl. Dave Tyreman says in the release.

The witness described the suspect vehicle as being a white Pontiac Vibe with possibly a female driver and male front passenger, Tyreman says, adding no other details about the incident were provided.
