TCC Cooking recalls vertical chicken roasters that can break, shatter

TCC Cooking Co. is recalling about 4,000 chicken roasting pans after receiving more than two dozen reports of the product breaking or shattering.

The company says customers should immediately stop using the recalled roasters. It has received no reports of injuries.

The recall involves vertical, CHEFS-branded roasters. This includes a round, ceramic roasting pan with handles and a removable insert. The roasters were sold for between $35 and $50 from April 2014 through last May by online retailers like Chefscatalog.com, Cooking.com and Target.com.

Customers who bought the roaster through Target.com can return it to any Target store for a full refund. Others were advised to discard it and contact TCC Cooking to receive a gift card that equals the purchase price.
