OHL Roundup: Connor Clattenburg has shootout winner as Firebirds edge Greyhounds 4-3

FLINT, Mich. – Connor Clattenburg scored the shootout winner as the Flint Firebirds edged the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds 4-3 on Wednesday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Tristan Bertucci, Matthew Wang and Nathan Aspinall scored in regulation time for Flint (29-30-4).

Goalie Nathan Day made 21 saves for the win.

Jack Beck scored twice for Sault Ste. Marie (42-16-5), while Julian Fantino added a goal.

Charlie Schenkel started in net for the Greyhounds, stopping 4 of 7 shots before Landon Miller took over, stopping all 20 shots he faced.

The Firebirds scored on their one power play and Sault Ste. Marie went 1 for 2 with the man advantage.

PETES 5 FRONTENACS 3

PETERBOROUGH, Ont. — Chase Lefebvre had a hat trick as the Petes topped Kingston.

Braydon McCallum and Cam Gauvreau also scored for Peterborough (20-35-8).

Gabriel Frasca, Jacob Battaglia and Matthew Soto supplied the offence for the Frontenacs (29-31-4).

KNIGHTS 5 OTTERS 1

ERIE, Pa. — Kaleb Lawrence struck twice as London skated past the Otters.

Jacob Julien, Kasper Halttunen and Landon Sim rounded out the attack for the Knights (46-14-4).

Dylan Edwards replied for Erie (28-28-7).

STEELHEADS 6 STING 3

SARNIA, Ont. — Lucas Karmiris scored and added an assist as Mississauga defeated the Sting.

Angus MacDonell, William Eggleton, Adam Zidlicky, Mason Zebeski and Chas Sharpe chipped in as the Steelheads (35-21-8) extended their point streak to eight games.

Zach Filak scored twice for Sarnia (23-36-4) and Cooper Way had a goal.
