Two arrests in Clearwater part of drugs and guns investigation

RCMP raided a home in Clearwater, north of Kamloops, and arrested two people today.

The Southeast District Emergency Response Team helped execute a search warrant at a home on Jenkins Road in Clearwater today, March 14, according to an RCMP media release.

RCMP didn't say what time of day the the home was searched.

The warrant was part of an ongoing investigation into a drugs and firearms case, RCMP said.

During the raid officers seized ammunition, cash and suspected illegal drugs.

The two people arrested were well known to police.

No one was injured during the raid.

As the investigation is ongoing, police are not revealing any more details at this time, including the identities of those arrested and their current custody status.
