Ottawa Senators acquire forward Rees from Carolina Hurricanes for draft pick

OTTAWA – The Ottawa Senators acquired forward Jamieson Rees from the Carolina Hurricanes on Friday for a 2024 sixth-round draft pick.

Rees, 23, has four assists in 37 AHL games this season with Springfield and Charlotte.

The Hamilton native has accumulated 29 goals and 55 assists in 192 career AHL games with Springfield, Charlotte and the Chicago Wolves.

Rees was selected in the second round, No. 44 overall, by Carolina in the 2019 NHL draft.
