QMJHL Roundup: Eric Brassard perfect as Mooseheads shut out Titan 2-0
BATHURST, N.B. – Eric Brassard stopped all 33 shots he faced as the Halifax Mooseheads shut out the Acadie-Bathurst Titan 2-0 on Wednesday night in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.
Taylor Ford and Otto Somppi supplied the offence for Halifax (3-7-2), with Ford scoring just 59 seconds into the middle period.
Reilly Pickard made 32 saves for Acadie-Bathurst (3-8-1).
The Mooseheads went 0 for 4 on the power play, while the Titan could not connect on their one man advantage.

DRUMMONDVILLE, Que. — Oliver Cooper’s power-play goal with a second left in the first period was the eventual winner as Charlottetown held on for a win over the Voltigeurs.
Alexandre Goulet and Mitchell Balmas also scored in the first for the Islanders (6-5-1), while Chris Chaddock added some insurance in the second.
Joey Ratelle and Jeremy Bouchard had a goal each for Drummondville (10-3-0).

BAIE-COMEAU, Que. — Nicolas Meloche had the power-play winner in the third period as the Drakkar sailed past Sherbrooke.
Simon Chevrier opened scoring for Baie-Comeau (3-8-0) in the second period and Vaclav Karabacek put the puck into an empty net with five seconds left to play.
Carl Neill replied for the Phoenix (4-8-1).

VAL-d’OR, Que. — Anthony Richard broke a 2-2 tie in the third period and the Foreurs reeled off three unanswered goals to beat Quebec.
Nicolas Aube-Kubel and Jan Mandat also scored in the third for Val-d’Or (8-4-1), while Mathieu Nadeau and William Gignac had back-to-back goals in the first.
Dmytro Timashov and Bronson Beaton supplied the offence for the Remparts (5-5-1).
