RCMP close Highway 97 in Kelowna for unfolding incident

Highway 97 between Sexsmith and Edwards roads has been closed by the RCMP this afternoon.

An “unfolding incident” requiring a heavy police presence was unfolding in the 100 block of Adams Road shortly after 3 p.m. today, March 27.

“Traffic is being redirected to remain out of the area of the incident,” an RCMP news release says.

“Police are asking the public to remain out of the area until the matter is resolved or told otherwise.”
