Man pulled from vehicle, savagely beaten

KAMLOOPS – A man alleges he was pulled from his vehicle, beaten and stabbed last night in what police are calling a targeted attack.

The altercation took place about 7:45 p.m as the victim's vehicle came to a stop after travelling along Gordonhorn Crescent. The man told police a white pick-up truck moved into position behind him and followed. When the victim stopped near Freshfield Road, the driver of the truck got out and went up to the man's door. He pulled the victim from his seat and struck him a number of times. The victim received a puncture wound to his upper body from a weapon used by the suspect during the assault.

The victim says the suspect uttered threats against him as he left the scene.

The wounded man was able to get to hospital on his own for treatment at which time police were told of the assault.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information or who witnessed this attack can contact Kamloops RCMP 250-828-3000.
