
Suspect in weekend trailer park shooting in Kamloops due for bail hearing
KAMLOOPS – The man accused of firing shots inside a Kamloops trailer park this weekend may be released from jail today.
Ezra Adair, 61, is charged with possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose, using a firearm to commit an offence, careless use or storage of a firearm and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.
Adair is expected to seek bail in Kamloops Provincial Court this morning, Aug. 22.
Kamloops RCMP Staff Sgt. Edward Preto said in a media release that police were called out to a trailer park at approximately 9:37 p.m. Aug. 20, in the 1700 block of Ord Road.
Witnesses say the suspect was agitated and threatening others.
Preto said in the release several concerned residents of the park had made 9-1-1 calls.
Police recovered a rifle and four empty cartridges.
