iNPHOTOS: The Tragically Hip and Overlanders Days in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS – City parks were packed on Saturday, Aug. 20, as crowds gathered for the last Tragically Hip show and Overlanders Day.

Overlanders Day brought the North Shore out as neighbourhood businesses, local restaurants and families filled the park.

Children were entertained by icons like Ronald McDonald and Disney princesses while the stage hosted a variety of performances and local musicians.

A couple thousand people crowded onto the field in front of the Rotary Bandshell in Riverside Park for a live stream of the Tragically Hip show live from Kingston, Ont. While it may be the iconic band's final show as lead singer Gord Downie faces terminal brain cancer, most fans in the park were in a celebratory mood with craft beer and the sunset setting the stage for the show.
