Cop car stuck by transit bus

KAMLOOPS – A transit bus crashed into a marked police car while travelling west on Columbia Street Sunday morning.

Witnesses told police the bus hit the cop car as it attempted to turn left onto Sahali Terrace from the curb lane about 8:30 a.m. July 21. Just prior to the accident both vehicles were travelling the road side by side and as the bus driver attempted to turn left, it slammed into the passenger side of the police car.

There was some damage to the front of the bus and one of the passengers out of the four on board reported minor injuries.

The officer also suffered minor injuries.

The accident is currently under investigation.
