Alberta woman charged in gang-related gun and drug bust in West Kelowna last month
WEST KELOWNA – Charges of drug trafficking and possession of guns have been laid against a West Kelowna resident from Alberta who was arrested last month after police raided a suspected gang member's home.
Savanna Ashley-Lynn Malone, 24, and co-accused Tyson Ashleigh Bone, 32, have been charged with more than a dozen drug and gun-related offences, according to court documents.
Malone — whose identity was not released during an RCMP press conference following the raid — was arrested along with Bone, who is a suspected member of the Kelowna Warriors gang, and a 37-year-old unidentified man.
A seven-year-old child was also taken from the home and placed in the care of the Ministry of Child and Family Development.
She made her first appearance in court this week and will be back again in September.
