KAMLOOPS – Details are slowly emerging after the suspicious death of a woman at an Aberdeen motel over the weekend.
Kamloops RCMP officer Cpl. Cheryl Bush says in a media release an autopsy has been scheduled for the female victim today, Aug. 19, to determine a cause of death.
"The female victim has been identified however her name is not being released at this time as investigators are in the process of notifying next of kin," Bush says in the release.
The RCMP Serious Crime Unit and B.C. Coroners service are continuing to investigate, according to the release.
RCMP have not said if anyone has been taken into custody in connection with the death.
The motel remains open.
