Interior B.C. man wanted by Kamloops RCMP arrested in Williams Lake

WILLIAMS LAKE – A man with a lengthy criminal history across the B.C. Interior has been arrested in Williams Lake.

Kendall Clayton Kenneth Muir, 48, is expected to appear in Williams Lake Provincial Court later this week for failing to appear in court.

Muir had pleaded guilty to forcible confinement, sexual assault, assault with a weapon, possession of firearms, uttering threats to cause harm, property damage, and assault in 100 Mile House earlier this month, but took off before his sentencing hearing, according to RCMP.

Kamloops RCMP believed Muir was living in Kamloops at the time.

Muir has an extensive criminal history across B.C. with offences dating back to 1996. Several of his offences have been domestic files that included assault with a weapon.

Court documents show Muir was arrested on Friday, Aug. 26 in Williams Lake. He remains in custody.
