KELOWNA – Police are alleging a man from the North Thompson area exposed himself to a woman on a Kelowna street.
RCMP spokesperson Const. Jesse O’Donaghey says in a press release the 52-year-old man was arrested at around 1:29 a.m., Monday, Aug. 29, after allegedly exposing himself to a woman who was sitting in her car using her cellphone.
O’Donaghey says the incident happened at Lawrence Avenue and Ethel Street but the man fled north. Police say they arrested the intoxicated man on Fuller Avenue trying to hide from police.
The suspect as held in custody overnight and released for a court appearance on Nov. 17 where he faces possible charges related to the exposure.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident to call them at the Kelowna RCMP detachment at 250-762-3300.
