DUBLIN – Captain Aaron Carpenter broke his arm in Canada’s 52-21 loss to Ireland on Saturday.
“Disappointed I couldn’t finish the match (Saturday) night,” the 33-year-old from Brantford, Ont., tweeted. “I broke my radius tackling one of those Irishmen. Surgery done on the road to recovery.”
Carpenter won his 75th cap on Saturday, moving him within one of Al Charron’s national record.
That milestone will have to wait. Carpenter will miss Canada’s remaining tour games against Romania and Samoa.
