LINCOLN, Neb. – A 24-year-old Lincoln man has been sentenced to eight years for distributing child pornography.
Prosecutors say Dustin Hansen pleaded guilty Thursday in U.S. District Court in Lincoln and was sent to prison. He must serve five years of supervised release after he leaves custody and must register as a sex offender.
Prosecutors say Hansen sent a child porn video to someone in Canada on April 17, 2016. That led to an investigation that included a search of Hansen’s Lincoln home last November. Investigators found a video and still images on a thumb drive in a pocket of a pair of Hansen’s jeans.
Michael Norris of the U.S. attorney’s office said Friday that Hansen worked at a day care but there’s no evidence any of the children there were victimized.
