RCMP investigating alleged assault of two women in Coldstream

COLDSTREAM – RCMP are asking for help from anyone who may have witnessed an assault in Coldstream earlier this week.

Police are searching for a suspicious vehicle and suspects related to an incident and alleged assault on Monday, Sept. 12, Cpl. Dan Moskaluk says in a RCMP media release.

Two women told police they were approached by a car with two men inside sometime between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the area of Cypress Drive and Scenic Drive in Coldstream. The vehicle is described as a dark green four-door car with faded paint.

"The females reported being assaulted by the two male occupants subsequent to the initial contact," Moskaluk says in the release. "Since being reported RCMP officers have been conducting neighbourhood inquiries in the area in efforts to identify the vehicle and its occupants."

RCMP aren't saying what the nature of the assault was.
