Spray park shuts down this weekend

WEST KELOWNA – Another season is drawing to a close at West Kelowna’s children’s water playground in Westbank Centre Park.

The Kids Care Spray Park’s last day of operations for 2016 will be Sunday, Sept. 18. The park is open from 10 a.m. to dusk for the final few days of the season. The popular children’s water playground will open for the 2017 season in mid-May.

The park, which is located off Hebert Road at the end of May Street, typically closes in early to mid-September as evening temperatures drop and before the risk of significant frost begins to pose problems for water filled lines.

A September closure also gives staff time to perform maintenance on the facility prior to fully winterizing the equipment.
