Greyhound hopeful bus depot will stay in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS – There may be news plans for the Greyhound bus depot in Kamloops but it doesn't mean it will be moving out of the city.

Greyhound spokesperson Lanesha Gipson says the lease expires at the current location at 725 Notre Dame Drive next spring and they're in the preliminary stages of finding a new location.

"We would like it to stay in Kamloops," Gipson says. "We are currently looking at various locations, so we don’t have a specific time frame."

Greyhound will be looking for a central location close to a highway, she says, though all options are on the table including potentially staying in the current building.

Gipson says the landlord has expressed interest in redeveloping the land on Notre Dame Drive.
