Alberta man dies in early morning crash in Pritchard

PRITCHARD – A 57-year-old Alberta man has died after crashing a pickup truck into an embankment on Highway 1 at Martin Prairie Road in Pritchard early this morning.

Chase RCMP say in a media release at about 1:30 a.m., Sept. 21, a pickup truck with Alberta licence plates had left the roadway, striking an embankent and coming to rest in the ditch.

The Alberta driver was pronounced dead at the scene and was the only person in the vehicle.

The cause of the crash is not know at this time but the B.C. Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate.
