Heart found outside Ryerson U. building appears too large to be human: police

TORONTO – Toronto police say a heart has been found outside a building at Ryerson University but they don’t believe it’s human.

Const. Victor Kwong says the organ was found Wednesday morning by a groundskeeper cleaning up garbage.

He says it appears the heart fell out of a garbage bag.

He says a student approached police and claimed responsibility for the heart, saying it was part of a school project.

But Kwong says police have yet to confirm the student’s account.

Kwong says the heart is too large to belong to a human “unless it’s a giant.”

A coroner has been called to examine the heart just in case.
