Penticton Fire Department offers fire extinguisher training

PENTICTON – Fire Extinguisher Training is being offered to interested adults as part of Fire Prevention Week Oct. 9 to 15.

The 30 minute training provides a basic understanding of fire safety and the use and limitations of fire extinguishers. The program fulfills the WCB’s regulation of staff knowing how to operate fire safety equipment. Registration is required.

The training dates are Tuesday, Oct. 11 and Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016.

Training times are available from: 

8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
9:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Training will take place at Station 202 at 285 Dawson Avenue.

The fee is $5.25 per person paid by cash or cheque seven days in advance.
