Forward Sven Andrighetto was recalled by the Montreal Canadiens from the American Hockey League on Friday night.
The 22-year-old Swiss native scored twice, including the overtime winner, in the St. John’s IceCaps’ 4-3 victory over the Syracuse Crunch earlier Friday.
In 17 games with the IceCaps this season, Andrighetto has six goals and nine assists.
Montreal drafted the centre 86th overall in the 2013 NHL draft.
In 12 games with the Canadiens last season, Andrighetto scored twice while adding an assist.
