Zach Franko has five points in Kelowna Rockets 7-3 win over Kamloops Blazers

KELOWNA, B.C. – Zach Franko had a pair of goals and added three assists as the Kelowna Rockets thumped the Kamloops Blazers 7-3 on Thursday in Western Hockey League action.

Ryan Olsen scored twice and had two assists for Kelowna (24-10-2), while JT Barnett also struck twice. Myles Bell had a goal and an assist. Jackson Whistle made 19 saves for the win.

Tim Bozon had two goals for Kamloops (25-10-4) and Colin Smith added a goal and an assist. Cole Cheveldave stopped 17 of 23 shots in 40 minutes of work for the Blazers. He was replaced by Taran Kozun, who made six saves on seven shots in the third period.

Bozun’s second goal was shorthanded.

The Rockets were 2 for 7 on the power play and Kamloops went 1 for 4.
