Second Surrey shooting in 24 hours sends man to hospital, police investigating

SURREY, B.C. – Police in Surrey, B.C., are investigating the city’s 37th shooting of the year.

The RCMP say officers responded around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday to several reports of gunfire (around the intersection of 75A Avenue and Scott Road).

Mounties found an injured man inside a silver SUV and sent him to hospital.

He was conscious at the time.

This is the second Surrey shooting in less than 24 hours.

No one was injured in the previous incident, when shots were fired into an occupied home.
