Thousands of dollars worth of specialty tools stolen from West Kelowna resident

WEST KELOWNA – A West Kelowna man was awoken by noises coming from outside his home in the early morning hours of Sept. 30.

When he looked outside he saw a vehicle leaving the area and went to investigate. He found several tools worth thousands of dollars missing from his truck, which was parked on Chieftain Road.

“The thief left with specialty fire hydrant servicing tools worth approximately $2,000,” a Crime Stoppers release says. “The tools were in a Ridgid tool box and included two sets of 14 piece SAE combination wrenches (Jet tools in a cloth wrap bag), various pipe wrenches, two magnetic parts trays, two Terminal City operating nut sockets, three 2 ½” hydrant caps with pressure gauges, a Husky impact socket set, an impact extension kit, hydrant wrenches and various other tools.”
