One dead, four injured in small plane crash in B.C. Central Interior

ANAHIM LAKE, B.C. – One person has died and four others were injured after a small plane crashed in the B.C. Central Interior yesterday.

The Joint Rescue Coordination Centre out of Victoria says its crew was called Monday morning, Oct. 10, to locate the de Havilland Beaver aircraft.

It was found 80 kilometres northeast of Anahim Lake.

The centre says one passenger was dead when rescuers arrived at the scene.

Four others were transported by air ambulance for treatment of their injuries.

The Transportation Safety Board says it has sent investigators to Anahim Lake.
